Since time immemorial scholars of all professions have tried to offer directives to individuals on the purpose and meaning of living. We all share one inert goal which is to live a life of meaning with the answers being derived from religious dogma, philosophical writings, social laws and cultural practices. As a result of cultural diversity it is therefore important to understand the nature and essence for life purpose coaching.

In some cases, it is referred to as personal coaching and is quite a recent area of development and learning. The process is directed and supervised by a trained coach. Their main duties are assisting clients to realize their purpose in the community, help them set goals and remove feelings of disappointment with themselves. It comes to be seen as a personal journey of self-realization.

The training on the purpose of living is tailored to accommodate the particular and special needs of every kind of client as all are usually different and have undergone very different experiences in their lives. It has been designed for professionals, families, and individuals on a transformation journey. It has also proved useful for couples in planning their marriage and finding solutions to arising problems in their union.

During sessions a variety of tools are used to smoother the progression. These include debates on standards, morals, spirituality, free will, values and consciousness among other personal perceptions. The meetings are aimed to be highly interactive and confidential.

Various basic hindrances do exist on individual persons that a life trainer has to identify and assist the client on overcoming all the personal situations in their sub conscious and can easily be missed by the average person. They consist of fears which obscure an individual from facing situations, past failures clarity, fundamental beliefs, illiteracy and reduced focus on a field. Those hurdles are most often than not interlinked and one may lead to another making them difficult to isolate and deal with.

The trials are overcome by employing some strategies. The commonly experienced ones are dealt with by supporting the trainee to attain clarity by reasoning out unresolved issues, writing down, frequently facing fears, planning and prioritizing of goals, evolving and challenging beliefs held on too strongly. The training is chiefly required to leave the person able to tackle future trials without any assistance and with much ease than before.

A trainer that is efficient most of times is seen to be a mentor and therefore should possess key characteristics. These qualities include knowledge, empathy, good listening skills, inquisitive, ability to understand and should also be well trained. Those well-established are known to be more experienced but cost more.

Normally a complete change period could take a weekend, few weeks or take months all depending on the number of challenges faced. If well done the client should emerge having better time planning, clear conscious, goal oriented and having enhanced focus among others. In conclusion, it is evident that professional coaching on the purpose of life is a very significant part of the society.
