A new blog is a resource for new and veteran parents. Complete with a Home page and the babywise blog, Bulletin Board, Forum and Chat link, it hosts a great number of details, information and networking. The administrators keep the blog fun and updated on a regular basis with information on baby news, contests and important information on baby care.

An interesting new idea is part of this particular blog. It is the idea of blog sharing. Each individual clicks a topic, then post to share a blog. When sharing, it is important to only share one which most closely relates to the topic of the blog.

If there is a new suggestion or topic which does not fit within an existing section, the blog owner may be able to create one. Whether or not this is the case depends on a number of factors. If not, ask the blog owner if any other existing section may have been a better option.

There are numerous websites on which readers can post comments. Some of the most popular ones are those which include this capability. In this case, the owner has been creative in finding multiple uses in which comments can be posted and blog links shared.

An advice section often contains information related to issues like child care, sibling interactions, suggestions related to pets and new babies. Other advice generally relates to housekeeping and visitors. Some of the most important advice is that related to preparing pre-cooked and pre-planned meals for the family.

Children have a way of adapting when a new baby finds the home peaceful, calm and welcoming. It is often the new parents who have more issues adjusting to new schedules, figuring out baby care when going back to work and how to deal with any pets in the home. While supervision is essential, it is also important to allow older children to give the baby love and attention

At times, one or other parent may want one on one time with the baby. It is important to not think of the other parent as more or less important. When both parents are present, attention, caring for, and discipline need be shared by both parents if planning on maintaining peace.

When other children are in the home, it is important that the children and home be ready when the baby arrives home for the first time. Having simple meals in the freezer is often a good plan when first coming home from the hospital. Set a schedule and time with older children, then plan things the children can do without a parent present.

When baby first comes home, it is important that parents keep a close eye on any other children or pets in the home. Toddlers often have lots of toys which can be thrown around the room. If so, it is important to store and supervise any play with this toys when the baby is in the room.

Keeping pets away from babies, especially newborns is often a good idea. Depending on the age and personality of the pet, most often after introduction to the new member of the household and with close supervision, the pet can return to regular routines.
