Hot yoga has been one of the most popular forms of this ancient Indian art these days because it can really help one work up sweat. The next type is the Forrest variation which gets its name from its creator Ana Forrest. Now this variation puts a lot of emphasis on poses that are held for quite some time and also on the core abdominal exercises. Of course this is also done in a very heated environment just like in the Bikram variation.



Now the third kind would of course be the Power version and it is the counterpart of the Ashtanga style. The Ashtanga style, which is done mostly by men, is a style that incorporates a lot of hard movements as well as a lot of jumping and lunging movements unlike the previous two. The Power variation is basically the Ashtanga style practiced in a hot place.



The last one on the list would be the Tribalance variation. This last one is a balance of all the other variations that were mentioned earlier. Although this type is also done in a hot place, it is practiced in dim lighted areas because this would help the practitioners be able to concentrate on the movements and the poses rather than the heat.



So as one can see, all four of these types are actually very different from each other. Each of them would have their own strengths and their own weaknesses and one should just choose based on what suits him the best.
