Diabetics are said to be at risk of having all sorts of additional health problems. They range from high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, loss of eyesight to skin issues. Drink plenty of fluids every single day. Experts say that a diabetic like you should consume approximately 2 liters of water daily. Maintaining optimum hydration is an effective way to regulate your blood glucose levels. Chugging down lots of fluids encourages your kidneys to create more pee which helps flush out too much sugar in your body.

Increase consumption of fiber packed foods. The inclusion of foods loaded with fiber to the diet is recommended. That's because fiber assists in regulating blood glucose levels. What's more, a diet rich in fiber is very good at reducing high blood pressure and fending off heart disease which diabetics are highly prone to developing.

However, it's important to note that a diabetic like you is at higher risk of the dangers caused by chronic stress. See to it that you engage in activities that can help reduce stress such as getting a good night's sleep, having a massage and doing yoga.
