There's really no such thing as certainty.

But in life, everything is rather uncertain.

You don't need to be scared of uncertainty. In fact, the coming to terms with uncertainty is a pretty powerful moment. When you give up always trying to create your future or escaping your past and truly show up in this moment, you give yourself the opportunity to actually live a life. It's only when you try to move out of the present moment that things can start to get pretty shaky at times.

While the future can be exciting, it's also a dangerous place. Not many people believe that the future can take a negative toll on their life but it certainly can. You can get just as stuck living in the future as you are living in the past. When you begin to grasp at goals and ambitions that don't resonate with your deepest purpose things can get messy.

That was my old story

I refused to live in the present moment.

Goals and dreams are fantastic things to have in your life but you have to be careful that you don't shut everything down to achieve them. Sometimes, the price we pay to seek out our ambitions is often far greater than what we achieve. Without staying completely grounded in this world, we sacrifice ourselves and everything around us for the dancing shadows of the material.

I spent my entire life looking at the future as the place where everything was going to be fine, but once I got there, everything was still a mess. You can't escape the person you are now, you can only change that person daily and in the present moment.

Learn to tap into this moment and appreciate it for what it is. That's all we're able to do right?

Uncertainty is the name of the game.
