Many people are not aware that they are being held back by the beliefs in their subconscious minds. They do not understand why they struggle so much to make progress towards physical, mental and emotional health. Psych-K is an effective method used to deal with these blockages in the subconscious mind. This method has existed for over 20 years and combines elements of both ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience.

According to ancient wisdom, the principles of harmony and balance observed in nature applied to humans too. Humans were simply part of an interconnected whole. As society began to turn towards the mentality of survival of the fittest, these principles came under attack. The loss of these has lead to feelings of being disconnected and a struggle for individuals to find any sense of purpose and meaning in life.

In neuroscience the latest research has revealed more about how the conscious and subconscious parts of the brain function together. The left and right hemispheres of the cerebral cortex have different functions. They even process different different kinds of information. Life experiences, especially those which are more traumatic, are stored in the subconscious. The conscious mind makes certain decisions and acts in a certain way but it being influenced by buried beliefs and fears in the subconscious.

These subconscious beliefs may, for example, make an individual feel incompetent rather than competent, afraid rather than fearless or anxious rather than confident. These beliefs act like filters affecting every thought and decision. This means that although one may have excellent goals, these do not come to fruition due to these negative subconscious beliefs.

Ideal brain functioning is when both sides of the cerebral cortex are used together. The whole brain state allows for maximum communication of data between the two hemispheres. This whole brain state can be used to change self limiting beliefs and provides a way of dealing more effectively with past, present, and future challenges.

It is not difficult to access this state. Once it is accessed, stress levels are greatly reduced. Elevation to a different level of consciousness occurs. This process is different from a hypnotic state in that it does not put the authority in the hands of the instructor. You operate more as a team and in fact more authority usually resides with you as the client.

Basic and advanced workshops are offered to teach people how to access this state for effective transformation of their thought patterns. They are lead by well trained and certified instructors. An instructor facilitates the process of change by interacting dynamically with the client. Unlike hypnosis, where authority is placed with the therapist, equal or even greater authority is given to the client. It is more of a team process between the facilitator and the client.

As negative belief systems are dealt with just some of the results are increased creativity, improved memory and an enhanced state of well being. Changes take place on a physical, mental and emotional level. Physical health, self-esteem, job performance, relationships and even spiritual understanding are all enhanced as a result of using this effective method.
