Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a sub type of anxiety disorders. Serotonin is generally a relaxation hormone. Their side effects include tremors, nausea, impotence and constipation.

The most commonly administered therapy is cognitive behavior therapy or CBT. One of the strategies used here is termed exposure and response prevention. It involves putting the patient in the presence of triggers of obsessive thoughts. They are, however, asked to refrain from the compulsive actions. The second strategy is known as cognitive therapy. The patient is meant to understand that they have to take responsibility for each of their actions.

Family and group therapy should also be offered to these patients. Family therapy helps the other family members to understand the condition better and to develop new ways of accommodating the patient. They learn how best to communicate them and not to judge even if they appear unnecessarily anxious. Group therapy provides an opportunity for affected persons to interact and learn coping skills from each other.

It is never easy to cope when you have serious psychological disorders. One of these that many people have problems with are panic attacks Northwest Indiana. Some people will also have experiences which are so severe where they become isolated and withdrawn. They will simply want to stay at home and this leads to depression as well. The symptoms that you will suffer from during this time will include a racing heart beat, hyperventilating, feelings of the chills as well as sweating and dizziness. It is important to talk about the problem. A psychologist can offer empathy and compassion. However, it is good to go to someone who specializes in this and is able to set goals.

Goals are dependent on an individual. However, when you appreciate your true nature, then you are said to have attained self realization. Your personality should reflect on your true character. This allows you to gain confidence in whom you are and also creates a filling of fulfillment. The study of this philosophy has raised a number of steps that you can use to attain this goal, they include:

Realization of this goal begins with comprehension of the nature of your true self. Your personality should be complementary to your true desires and wants. Subsequently, it is fundamental to venture into the discovery of your genuine identity. Looking into your nature can be challenging, but meditation facilitates the process. Spending more time by yourself, assists you to identify what you truly want and need. Collectively, mediation and maintaining your own company allows you to identify your real self.

Having identified your true self, then you can move to the next step where you identify the areas that you need to change. The urges and desires that were previously identified, motivate you to make life resolutions for instance, a change in relationships. Dissatisfaction in life is mainly because you have not become conscious of your true self. Once you have identified, your true desires, then you are able to tell what you want with your life. Identification of this wants is important because it acts as the main driver towards the change needed.

Understating your true nature requires patience and strength. Identify practices that allow you to increase comprehension of your true character. This is by creating an awareness of your actual desires and urges which makes your true identity clearer. Continuous and persistent investment into the study of your true identity allows you to attain your authentic character. This allows you to have a happy and worthwhile life.

Understanding your true self facilitates in the alignment of your character to reflect on your accurate identity. Your character determines your behavior and attitude. When you are faithful to your true self, then every action should reflect on your true desires. Personality is build by three bodies which include the emotional, physical and intellectual self. Collectively, these determine the actions we take.

Alignment of your personality to reflect your true self begins with ensuring that every body of your personality is faithful to your real identity. Subsequently, you should ensure that your emotions, your action and thought complement your personal desires and urges. To achieve this goal, you should meditate regularly and seek to understand your real identity.

The next step is evaluation. Evaluate the extent to which the decision and changes made are a fit to your true nature. The evaluation step requires that you benchmark, your desires and goals to the changes made. If the changes made reflect on your real desires, then maintain these changes. If they do not reflect on your desires, change them and begin from the first step.

Remaining faithful to who you are ensures that you achieve your personal goals. Understanding your true self is basic in realization of self. When your personality complements and reflects your true self, you are able to live an accomplished life. The tips provided will allow you to understand and realize your authentic self.

There are some moments in life you will never forget. A few years ago one of my teachers gave a speech that will always stay with me.

The words that came out of his mouth hit ready ears and they changed my life for good.

Accept your condition.

What did he really mean?

Accepting your condition is all about understanding exactly where you are at in life.

To take it further, it means that you should look at all of the areas of your life - relationships, personal life, body etc and see things as they truly are.

The other important part? See things as they are and not how you think they should be.

Why is it absolutely critical to do this?

It builds the foundation for the next steps of where you want to go

Going through this process allows you to step right into building a new life without trying to escape your old one.

Accept where you are now, accept that your actions in the past have driven you to the place where you are at this moment, and you will be on your way along the developmental process and the goal setting path.

So how do you actually do this?

The best way I've been able to do this is to get a piece of paper and brainstorm everything surrounding your life at the moment. Where are you at? What has happened in your past that has really affected you?

When you engage in this practice you get everything that is floating around in your head on paper and it helps you to start sorting things out.

When you audit your life, you give yourself the ability to go, "Okay, where do I want to be? What do I see for myself?"

The other piece of this puzzle is to envision what is in the future for you and to work backwards from there.

Step by step by step by step.

The last piece? Write lists of everything you need to know and everything you need to do to accomplish this vision.

The what you need to know part of the list should be a hell of a lot longer and more dense than the "what you know" part of the list. Truth is, you only have started to scratch the surface in a world full of knowledge.

So take some time to seriously understand where you are at and how you need to go to where you want to go.

To help you get from where you are now to where you need to be in the future.

This process will do you wonders.
