Muscle spasms that are accompanied by pain often occur after a back injury. A muscle might be stretched too far or torn. If ignored, they may lead to muscle knots due to the resulting inflammation. You are likely able to add to your own rehabilitation. A routine of strength training and stretches are outlined for you to follow between office appointments. Done regularly, they augment the care given in the chiropractors office. These exercises will increase the rate at which your muscles can heal.
