This has a positive impact on a victim of proofing that close members of the society care about him/her.



It is also very important to limit the time for the intervention sessions. They must be allocated a short time ranging from 60 to 90 minutes. This helps in maintaining high concentration levels. Long sessions are always associated with compassion decrease. Anger may also flare up making the session unable to carry on.



In order to achieve success in these sessions, an alcohol evaluation test is very critical. This should follow the intervention session. This has the aim of determining the progress of the patient in recovering from alcohol addiction. Several tools maybe used including a semi-structured assessment test for drug dependence and alcoholism.
